The link between the two clubs aims to provide an optional pathway for those players aged 16 to progress into Adult football and the management to carry on doing the fantastic voluntary work that they do week in week out, whether that be gradual by entering into our U18's or to greater elevations by jumping straight into the Men's sections.

There is also scope to share good practice, develop and progress our shared ethos and promote all that is great about the footballing communities that we share.

Moorgreen Colts are an FA accredited club and our link has meant we have both achieved a TWO STAR accreditation, which means the club has met certain criteria laid down by the FA to provide a safe environment for all.

Moorgreen have been providing football since 1985 and currently have a number of teams in various age groups ranging from Under 7’s through to under 16’s, participating across the Nottinghamshire Young Elizabethan League and Nottinghamshire Youth League.

The club adopts the FA’s codes of conducts and prides itself on high levels of discipline from all involved including coaches, parents and players.

Moorgreen are a non-profit club which is run on a completely voluntary basis by parents, families and supporters and our ethos “Enjoy to Achieve” is encompassed within all developmental aspects of football from leadership; responsibility, perseverance, teamwork and most importantly fun and enjoyment.

The members of Moorgreen Colts executive committee are passionate about providing grassroots community football to every child within the lower socio - developed areas of Nottinghamshire as they recognise that sport has a role to play in countering social exclusion, by increasing individuals’ self-esteem, physical and mental health, building community spirit, increasing social interaction, and reducing the temptation to partake in anti-social behaviour.

As a club, Moorgreen have made and are continuing to make huge strides forward for the future.

Moorgreen are always looking for boys and girls to come along and start their footballing adventure .

As with all our teams we expect all our coaches to be qualified to at least FA Level One and be fully DBS checked. We would welcome anyone who would be interested in running and establishing a team at any age level to come and join our club.
