Big games continue to come thick and fast here at E&K FC. Our U18s and Ladies are the only sides in action this weekend but there is a lot to play for.

Our U18s are aiming to put a gap between themselves and their opposition, Ashby Ivanhoe Vikings and chase down the higher placed sides as best as they can with the season closing in on its ending. Kev and Scotts youngsters will be eager for three points.

Our Ladies have a big game with the League Divisional Cup Semi Final against Gedling Southbank Ladies. Should E&K Ladies be successful, they would become the first ever E&K FC side to make a regular season cup final.

Assistant Manager Dylan Newman is yet to lead the Ladies in a competitive match in the temporary absence of Manager Ant Watkinson, due to the postponements over the previous two weeks and they don't come much bigger than this.

The Opposition

Ashby Ivanhoe U18s - This Saturday our U18s host Ashby Ivanhoe Vikings who are currently sat in 4th on 14 points, level with E&K. Both sides are yet to meet this season so a total unknown awaits both camps.

Ashby come off the back of a solid 5-1 victory over Arnold Town and will be eager to secure victory.

Gedling Southbank Ladies - Gedling Southbank Ladies inflicted defeat on E&K in the Cup group stages, with a 2-1 victory and they currently occupy 4th position in the league, 1 point behind E&K having played a game more. The sides are yet to face each other in the league and with both also locked in the title race for Division Two as things stand, some exciting ties between the sides lay ahead.

Gedling defeated Sherwood Colliery 1-0 to reach the semi final stage and will be looking to put E&K to the sword again and book their place in the final.

Last Time Out

U18s - Saturday 7th March 2026 - Sandiacre Town 2 - 2 E&K FC

E&K showed their credentials in a solid 2-2 draw, having taken the lead before being pegged back before half time. Both teams pushed for the victory but had to share the spoils.

Ladies - Sunday 22nd February 2026 - E&K 1 - 3 Sherwood Colliery - NGLFL Division Two

A disappointing day for E&K who lost for the first time in the league this season. Despite equalising early in the 2nd half it was Sherwood who went on proving to be the more clinical of the two sides.

Last weekends fixture versus Priory Celtic was cancelled by the home side but E&K have been awarded the 3 points.
