Each fixture now for E&K has that little extra weight, as the side look to improve the current run of form, whilst attempting to pile the pressure on the teams around them. Performances have not been that bad and their is a firm belief that the results will soon follow. Saturday they will be hoping the home ground pitch is playable as the weather continues to cause issues.

E&K lost the last time the two sides met a few weeks ago with Saturdays visitors inflicting a 5-0 scoreline. E&K will no doubt want to put the record straight but need to be ready.

The Opposition

AFC Normanton are currently 2nd on 24 points having won 7, drawn 3 and losing 2. They came away as victors last time out against Melbourne Dynamo Reserves, winning 1-0

As mentioned, AFC did beat E&K 5-0 a few weeks ago and will be eager to replicate that and take home the 3 points to solidify their league position and keep up the pressure at the top.

Both sides will have their sights set on victory and E&K will need to be at their absolute best if they’re to seal victory and put further pressure on the sides around them.

One To Watch

Tom Spicer is the midfield general of this E&K side. If E&K are to claim anything they will need their dynamic midfielder to be on fire, something he is more than capable of being.

A close fought first half saw E&K dismantled in the 2nd. There is a Firm belief that the tide will turn and Doughty's men will no doubt give it their all in the coming months.
