If you are looking for a new team, looking to play competitive football on a regular basis or just want to be part of a club who primarily want to enjoy the game, then E&K FC could be the club for you.

Below are some of the reasons why we could be what your looking for with answers to some of the common questions, that you may want answering...

Who Are we in short?

Eastwood & Kimberley FC were formed in 2011 by local brothers, Ant & Rhys Watkinson. The initial aim was to bring football to the many in the area who simply wanted to play competitive football. Progression came quickly both on and off the field, which led to E&K FC being recognised as an England Football Accredited Club. This means we are a structurally sound, organised and established club who set out guidelines to maintain such standards. We boast U18's Saturday, Mens Saturday, Womens Sunday and Mixed Friday Night Charity sides.

What makes us different from other Clubs?

Many clubs are set up without much of a thought process, clear goals/aims or true understanding of the workload involved and then subsequently fold within a year or two, especially with costs forever rising. We take time to build up off the pitch, before attempting to compete in any league, which has seen relationships built, foundations placed and experience gained.

We pride ourselves on being an organised, transparent and welcoming club and it is very free flowing. We emphasise the social aspects on offer to our members (Check out the pre season trip page on here or browse our social media sites) as well as offering plenty of football and coaching opportunities. After match food and drink is also on offer and we provide this with thanks to our home & hospitality partner, The Dale Club.

We also create our own events to further progress the club as a whole, as well as aid local charities/causes. We have raised well over £60k in total, since our formation through such events.

How often am I likely to play football?

The club currently has x1 Mens Saturday afternoon side, x1 U18 Saturday morning side, x1 Womens Sunday side and x2 Mixed Charity sides who have games scheduled primarily once a month on a Friday evening. During Pre-Season, matches are arranged as friendlies where possible. Seasonal Matches are based on the league structures and generally run from August/September through to May. There are always chances depending on interest in the club entering local 5 A-side leagues to offer extra football. All our main teams train midweek throughout the season. The opportunities at E&K FC are endless...

What else is of interest about the club?

We update weekly and sometimes daily our news so that the interest we garner through social media can be shared and viewed. We have this website, X, Facebook pages for Mens, womens and charity sides which are full of 'as it happens' news, Instagram pages full of the best content and sometimes get reports in the local media. We are always willing to embrace sponsors and we have had some fantastic support over the past seasons. We, like any club, aim for success but our primary objectives are to enjoy competitive football on a regular basis, regardless of the outcomes.

If you like what you've read here, then why not come along to any training sessions and see if joining E&K FC is something for you!
